The Challenge

Today’s ammonia conversion faces a trade-off

Ammonia is easy to transport and store, but unlocking its hydrogen at the point of use remains challenging. Existing technologies typically require high-temperature operation or suffer from catalyst poisoning, leading to system-level penalties.

High-temperature routes (thermal cracking / SOFC, 500–900°C) versus low-temperature routes (DAFC, at risk of catalyst poisoning) — both converging into shared system-level challenges

Resulting Challenges

Catalyst degradation

Reduced performance and lifetime

System complexity

Additional equipment and integration

Higher energy demand

Increased operational energy input

Higher cost

Greater installed and operating costs

Our Approach

Breaking the trade-off

A fully electrified, low-temperature electrochemical platform that unlocks hydrogen from ammonia while maintaining catalyst activity.

Below 80°C

Fully electrified conversion at low temperature.

Poisoning-resilient

Maintains active reaction sites during continuous operation.
